I was quite dissappointed to read the Mayo Clinic ever mixing the words "harmless" and "mosquitoes" in the same sentence, but they do. An herein lies the problem: We just do not understand which animals are truly dangerous. We worry about sharks and allow the mosquitoes to roam free.
It is easy to cure malaria. There are over 13 different medicines, yet this disease still manages to kill from 600,000 to 1 million people per year.
The endemic problem of malaria is simple: We truly believe that mosquitoes that poke their needle noses into our bodies, suck blood, and then carry malaria parasites are harmless.
Mosquitoes are NOT Harmless!
Think of mosquitoes like hypodermic needles. Would you just allow the doctor take out a needle and poke you? This is what mosquitoes do daily.
We can easily prevent all mosquitoe bites inside our homes.
Or maybe the mosquitoes really are smarter than humans?
